Around the Table: Fresh Cranberry Sauce
Each year I am in charge of contributing the cranberry sauce to our Thanksgiving dinner. Fresh cranberry sauce is surprisingly easy to make and adds a punch of color to the Thanksgiving spread. Since it is the season of giving, I wanted to share this wonderful recipe with you, in hopes that your will share it with your family (scroll down for the details).
- 2 bags (12 ounces each) Fresh Cranberries
- 1 cup Orange Juice
- 3/4 Cup Coconut Sugar (can also use regular sugar)
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
In a medium saucepan, comine cranberries, orange juice, sugar and 1/2 cup water; season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil over medium-high. Reduce to a simmer, add cinnamon stick and cook until thickened, 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from heat.
